Soluble Fiber Blanket Details
Soluble fiber blanket is body soluble fiber that utilizing a unique spinning technology and mechanical properties. These special fibers are made from a blend or calcium, silica and magnesium which give fiber the ability to support continuous application under high temperature conditions. Soluble fiber blanket is flexible and competent in treating with the refractory linings, thermal insulation and metals transfer, it has been Proven superior and eco-friendly to traditional refractory ceramic fiber.
Soluble fiber blanket is alkaline earth silicate fiber with SiO2, MgO and CaO as main components. Because it has a certain solubility in human body fluids and reduces damage to human health, it is called soluble fiber.
Due to the introduction of MgO, CaO and other components, it is helpful to expand the viscosity range of fiber formation, improve fiber formation conditions, and improve fiber formation rate and fiber flexibility. However, due to the introduction of components such as MgO and CaO, low-melting compounds such as CaO·SiO2, CaO·Mgo·2SiO2, etc. are formed, which causes a decrease in the heat resistance of the fiber. Therefore, generally soluble fibers belong to low-grade ceramic fibers, and their products are mostly used as backing materials for industrial kilns. In order to improve the heat resistance of soluble fibers, the method of attracting zrO2 components is adopted to increase the viscosity of the glass phase, inhibit the growth rate of the crystal grains after the fiber is heated and crystallized, and improve the heat resistance of soluble fibers.
