Sic Mullite Brick Details
Products Description
The working layer of sic mullite brick is made of high-quality super bauxite and silicon carbide as the main raw materials, and the heat insulation layer is made of aluminum silicate material with low thermal conductivity, which is made by high-pressure molding and special firing process, and two parts The interlocking surface canine teeth are staggered to form a composite brick body.
Features
1.Wear Resistance.
The density, strength and wear resistance of silica bricks are significantly better than high alumina bricks and magnesia alumina spinel bricks.
2.High temperature performance
The load softening temperature of silica bricks is above 1500°C, and some are as high as 1690°C.
3.Peeling resistance
The 1100°C water cooling test is more than 10 times, up to 46 times, so the silica brick will not peel off when used in the cement rotary kiln.
4.Thermal Shock Stability
It contains a certain amount of SiC, the coefficient of thermal expansion is relatively small, which improves the thermal shock stability.
5.Thermal insulation performance
The thermal conductivity of silica bricks [≤2.3W (m K)] is lower than that of spinel bricks, so the heat insulation effect of silica bricks is better.

Application
Sic mullite bricks are mainly used in cement, refractory structures and flues in hot blast stoves, electroplating furnaces, baking furnaces, mixers, melting furnaces, melting kilns and other industries.
In addition, it can also be used in storage, boiler rooms, steam rooms, steam discharge pipes and hot oil pipes,
as well as refractory structures in industries such as industrial furnaces, baking kilns, sintering furnaces, melting furnaces and roasting furnaces.
The application in cement industry:
Using part of andalusite instead of bauxite in sic mullite bricks can produce silica red bricks, and silica red bricks have better thermal shock resistance in addition to good high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. Among many cement calcining kilns, the use of it can increase the service life of 10-12 months, and the life of other parts can be increased by 1-2 years.
