Lightweight Brick Details
Compared with general refractory bricks, lightweight insulation bricks are light in weight, evenly distributed with tiny pores inside, and have higher porosity. As a result, less heat is guaranteed to be dissipated from the furnace walls, and the cost of fuel is reduced accordingly. Lightweight bricks also mean less heat storage, so both heat up and cool down faster, allowing for faster cycle times. Lightweight insulation bricks are suitable for the temperature range of 900℃~1650℃.
Advantages
1. Weight
The absolute dry capacity of lightweight insulation brick is 1/4 of ordinary concrete, 1/3 of clay and 1/2 of hollow block. Because its unit weight is less than that of water, it is usually called aerated concrete floating on water;
2. Thermal insulation
During the manufacturing process of air-entrained concrete, micropores are formed inside. These pores form an air layer in the material, which greatly improves the thermal insulation effect and enables the thermal conductivity of the aerated concrete to reach 0.11-0.16w/mk. The thermal insulation effect is 5 times that of clay bricks and 10 times that of ordinary concrete;
3. Small shrinkage value
Since the siliceous material is made of river sand and pulverized coal, the shrinkage value is only 0.1-0.5mm/m, which can ensure that the wall does not crack;
Applications
1. Backing insulation material for various industrial furnaces.
2. Various industrial furnace hot surface lining materials, such as: annealing furnace, carbonization furnace, tempering furnace, oil refining heating furnace, cracking furnace, roller kiln, tunnel kiln, etc.
