It is mainly used in steel, ceramics,cement, glass and other industries. The consumption of iron
and steel industry accounts for more than 65% of Chinese market consumption.
Andalusite is an aluminosilicate mineral, which is the raw material for making refractory materials and porcelain in spark plugs. It is a crystalline material that does not need to be calcined before use. As a shaped or unshaped refractory, it has good performance under harsh conditions, so it is used in industries that require high temperatures, mechanical strength, and chemical impact. It is also an energy-saving refractory raw material, it is directly used for making bricks. The characteristics of it are obvious; the temperature of mullite is low; the thermal expansion during the conversion is low; the crystal is coarse and can be used as aggregate.
