Silicon Mullite Brick Details
Silicon mullite brick is made of mullite (3Al2O3.2SiO2) and silicon carbide (SiC) as the main minerals by firing. The composition of the silicon mullite brick is super high alumina bauxite, mullite, silicon carbide, raw alumina, bonded clay, white corundum brick, etc. The silicon mullite brick SiC has high thermal conductivity and small thermal expansion coefficient. The thermal shock resistance of the product is good. The brick surface temperature of the transition zone of the cement rotary kiln is about 1 400 ℃. The temperature of the pre-tropical zone, cooling zone and other parts is lower than that of the transition zone, that is, the firing zone is protected by the kiln skin, the temperature of the brick surface is not high, and the starting temperature of the load softening of the silicon mo brick is above 1500 ℃, especially the product structure It is dense and consists of high hardness minerals, corundum, silicon carbide, and mullite. It has particularly good wear resistance and is an ideal brick type for transition zone.
The compressive strength and load softening temperature of silicon mullite brick are significantly higher than the anti-stripping high aluminum brick. Its thermal shock stability, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and thermal conductivity are not high, which is required by the technical characteristics of the late transition zone. The life span is 1.5~2 times that of anti-stripping bricks.
Since the transition zone is not protected by the kiln skin, it is easily affected by the reducing atmosphere and high heat load, and is susceptible to the wear of the materials. Silico brick has excellent wear resistance, good resistance to spalling and thermal shock stability, and is suitable for use at the end of the transition zone of cement kilns.
Features
Silicon mullite brick has features as follows:
1. High load softness and excellent high temperature resistance (the actual measured value of load softening temperature is stable above 1680℃)
2. High strength, wear resistance, not easy to peel off and erode
3. Low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation effect
4. Strong flexibility and excellent thermal shock resistance (its good thermal shock stability can fully meet the environmental requirements of frequent temperature fluctuations in the front transition zone)
5. The density is moderate and the simplified load is reduced (the volume density of silicon-molybdenum bricks is more than 8% lower than that of magnesia-alumina spinel bricks, resulting in the reduction of the simplified load of silicon-molybdenum bricks by more than 8% within the same kiln unit length)
